cool. Lovely, isn't it?
Joe used to have a routine. Katy and I used sit on the bed at night talking and he'd go crazy, kicking around. Second I put my hand on Katy's tummy he'd settle (like someone poised when they're listening). My voice is reasonably deep, so he could probably feel the vibrations as I spoke (they pick up on a remarkable amount of sounds apparently). T'was very cool indeed.Bizarre to think that only a short while later and (like this evening) he's laying in my arms, dozing off to sleep (after a bottle of warm whole milk, who wouldn't?)
Oh uh, my voice is remarkably similar to a chattering monkey (true), I'll settle for putting my hand and ear on rebecca's belly in as meaningful manner as possible. I can settle for that:)
Seeing it is pretty awesome too. Almost unbelievable to experience when it's not even your own. I wonder if reading to the baby at that stage has any (proven) benefits.
