I watched it at Christmas. No one in my family could follow the plot and by the end of it felt confused and really disappointed.

Even my sister the "biggest fan" of the franchise had to admit she didn't like it.

It is complete and utter shite, how this ended up as the 5th highest grossing film Worldwide with a whopping $961m Box Office is beyond me, I've yet to meet anybody who actually liked it, 2 was pretty duff but 3 was way up there with the Star Wars prequels for overblown nonsense !!!!

Hi Robert, thanks for dropping by.
I really hate the 'and this happens, then this happens, then this, and this, etc' school of plotting. Why does it happen? Dunno. Does it make any sense? Who cares.
It's annoying that so much money can be spent on creating huge outrageous effects that bore the pants of the audience.

whether it was one of the worst movies ever would depend on the size of your list, it wouldn't make my top 10 worst but it would definitely be in my top thirty.

For me I look at films like 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' 115 mins and 'Die Hard' at 131 mins and think they do in that time exactly what an Action movie needs to do, it can tell a story and have some great action scenes. But it would seem that the Pirates movies were long just for the sake of being long, a bit like King Kong was. Just because it worked for the LOTR's Trilogy doesn't meen it has to be a rule that all films have to be long whether they need to be or not. The Star Wars Trilogy wasn't overly long and they told a superb set of stories.
