Hello everybody
Hello to anyone coming here from Neil Vokes link on Jinxworld, hope you like what you see. To save you wading through my waffle you can just click here for all my artwork posts, or go here to see my comicspace gallery.
Here's a work in progress, it's going to be in colour, but I'm nicking Ian Culbard's (sorry INJ, hope you don't mind!) technique of toning first, then adding colour after. It's a bit light on backgrounds, but I hope to add some in the colour version before the deadline runs out. The character designs probably should be explained a little..... it's a little tongue in cheek:)

Neil Vokes is a fan? I'm impressed.
Fan is pushing it:) But he's certainly a nice guy. As well as a great artist.
Looking back at your post about drawing making you unhappy, what do you think of this?

I'd say half of that's applicable to me generally. Not a great admission.
I'm feeling a little better about the present work, which is good, but I still won't know until it's finished. Don't think I like flying by the seat of my pants like this!
Oh yeah, how much of that list is applicable to you then?
Most of the list to some degree. That aside, how modest are you. Followed the link to Neil Vokes' blog and checked out the links. As comic artists there's Neil's other sites, Mike Avon Oeming, Steve Ditko and you. I'd say you made some kind of impression.
Great to see the toning technique being used. Very nice work indeed.
Cheer INJ, I've still got to get my head round a few aspects of it, but it's a technique I'll definitely use again.
