A write up in
The Guardian yesterday prompted me to take a chance on a band I hadn't heard of. So instead of using my lunch break for productive purposes I nipped into HMV and ran home with my new
CD. What do you know
'We Are Scientists' rock my world. Sort of Franz Ferdinand meets The Strokes I guess. Recommended.

I'll make sure I listen to their stuff.
Paul, your art makes you even sexier.
I can handle the wrong in the head category. It takes mad genius to see something truly beautiful.
ew @ anyway.
lol?
'ew @ anyway'? Now I'm lost.
Truly beautiful? All that for drawing monkeys and monsters.
Akira, never heard of We Are Until a couple of days ago, I just don't keep up with these things as much as I should.
I. Give. Up.
We have at last defeated her!
I'm amazed some people do keep up with these bands - I think it's all to do with going to see un-signed artists and being lucky enough to occasionally find one you like.
Do I get a prize?
As I said some posts ago I used to be a bit of a muso, reading all the mags, hunting down the bands. It was tiring, I got fed up. Now if something drifts my way I'm happy. Mind you, not very rock and roll to have heard of someone through The Guardian is it.
Not really; but were you ever really "Rock And Roll" Paul?
I'm kind of the same, I'll wait for stuff to find me. I thought getting caable might help in this respect but all it's done is consolidate my suspicions about a lot of current music *coughs* Babyshambles...
Danny, this makes you sound one step closer to muttering "kids these days" and tripping them covertly with your cane...
