Get thee to a hair cuttery

It’s about time I had a hair cut. But I don’t like getting my hair cut, especially when I’m growing it. It’s the fear that it’ll just look stupid, that the hairdresser will botch the job or that I won’t like it as much as I liked it before it was cut. Still, at the moment my fringe is hanging down to the tip of my nose even when it’s gone a bit curly so I should just get it sorted out, just a trim, a light trim, a little bit off here and there, nothing too drastic..... gulp.

Man... I hate haircuts at the barbers - the enforced smalltalk, the starnger with scissors, the terror they'll just screw it up.... That's why I bought clippers. Frankly I'm just tempted to grow it long again. I miss the Noddy Holder years...

I alternate from short crop to long (with irritating neither nowt nor sommat in between), it's the turn of long hair now so I just have to put up with haircut talk. I grunt and grin like an idiot in the barber's chair everytime I'm asked an inane question, eventually they give up and give me a crap hair cut, such abuse of power should not be tolerated, although I normal just sa'that's great, thank you very much' and shuffle out.

Hmm... I just got from all shaven then let it grow until I have the Gopher Au Natural look and then all shaven again. I either do it myself or Fleur does it.

I used to go to a barbers - and an excellent one; free coffee, excellent comics, and two guys who played okay music and chatted about things worth chatting about. They would even shave my face for free and give me a discount on my head because of how easy it was. Then they'd get a scrubbing brush and rub my head with it making it feel fresh again. A nice hot towel from the microwave to wipe myself down with and then I'd finish my 3rd coffee off before going home (across the road). Women were banned from the place and the decor was actually modern and comfortable.

Erm... There was a handshake I had to do before they'd let me have a 0-grade cut but I didn't think anything of it.
