MY robot! page2

Little later than I planned, but here's the second page of 'MY robot!'. Two down, four to go. Well, actually, only three to go, I've finished the last page too, but I wouldn't want to post that and spoil the ending would I.

Okay that's cute. I see merchandising possibilities here? It could be the start of a my robot empire, cartoons, dolls, board games, maybe a live action film with Danny Devito as the robot.

Seriously, nice page and again the grey tones work really well, They give the artwork extra weight and a Universal monsters feel at the same time.

Really like the last panel with the little fella kind of half obscured by the edge of the frame... Nice!

Love this, and love the textures you're working into this too.

Peter - hmmm, merchandising.... nah. Glad you like the tones, the Universal bit is accidental, but appreciated. Coincidentally I did some character designs a year or so ago (they're on herre somewhere)for my own version of Frankenstein (one page strips), that I'd really like to do soon, even if the 1st strip is very similar to this story.
Ta danny, sort of patted myself on the back for that bit too!
Cheers INJ, I think I'm getting the hang of textures now, trying to restrain myself more now.
Thanks Kelvin.

I've been flicking back looking at artwork in your previous posts and something resembling a half formed thought has crossed my mind, many of the pics would look great on t-shirts. Have you thought about getting some of them on Threadless or boun tee or cafepress as t-shirts or prints. I'd love colour prints of the Astrodog pictures for Molly's room and a tee with the Peter Cushing pic on it would be pretty cool. It may not be a massive money spinner for you but with no real outlay thanks to print on demand it could be an additional income source as well as a way to getyour artwork out there so more people become familiar with it, and with the pileof artwork you've already got it's not like you'd have to create a ton of new stuff just to get started.

Give it some thought.

Interesting and flattering. I've thought about it before, but caved in when faced with some the high standard of work. Story of my creative life! Seeing as I'm ignoring this kind of destuctive negativity I might just do something like this.
As for Astodog, if you like it that much I'm sure I can arrange something.

Cheers Paul, I'm a bit hit and miss comp wise, so it's particularly pleasing when I get a hit!
