It's based on a very good comic you know

I want to see History of Violence tonight. But it’s not going to happen, I won’t see it tomorrow either, or all of next week because it’s not on at the local cinema. Yes the great city (not a town, oh no) of Lancaster has one cinema with 2 screens and doesn’t concider HOV with it’s masses of excellent reviews and star of LOTR to be worth putting on, lets have Pride & Prejudice for a 3 week running. Okay, I’m glad land of the Dead (excellent) is still on but the usualy spread 3 films across their 2 screens. The local arthouse cinema is pretty rubbish too, everything comes out about 2 months late and it’s either the same big budget bollocks the main cinema had on or it’s as left field alternative as possible to prove the places arthouse credentials.
There is actually a huge multiplex in town, but the funding was pulled after it was built and it now stands empty - does this make sense to anyone?

Bud... I think the pig harnesses are back... The BotBastards are back with a vengeance!

Re: the empty multiplex, there was almost a simliar situation back in Wood Green with the Showcase Cinema up by the Tube stop. I think the Cineworld in Shopping City had some kind of contractual right to open first, even though the Showcase had been completed. It stood empty for months...

I guess, like everything else, it boils down to certain people getting there money no matter how patently absurd the situation is.

Actually I think Mellowman is a genuine person - have a look at his profile and see his blog were he seems to combine his interests of horses and spamming.
I remember the empty Showcase, I think it finally opened just after I left (a coincidence I assure you)

Spamming is an interest? I thought it was a viral infection (tempting the Gods of fate to start it on my own blog).

He may be a real person, but a bot may be posting the crap using his credentials... Or as it is his interest, he may be performing a leisure activity...

I wish I had the time to see what was on at my local cinema. I'm sure there's little of any interest, but it would be useful to know... And yes I know I can find out online in about 5 seconds but I'm posting comments on blogs instead!

I'm surprised you have History of Violence in your theaters already as it's on here in the states right now...I'd expect it to get over to your theaters in what...like eight years? Judging by english fashion (and tooth care) I'd think the time warp would be about fifteen years...

Hi katy, we're doing fine, well, our usual version of fine which is to say I'm stilll a miserable sod and Rebecca is as lovable as ever.
Bad teeth? Dated fashion? You forgot about our pasty complexions.
